CAPITAL DISTRICT HUMANIST SOCIETY BOOK SEMINARFall 2017 Schedule
Meetings are held from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from September through early June with occasional exceptions, and holiday recesses. They will be held in room 101 of the Campus Center, Sage College, Albany, unless otherwise noted at the site.
Next session Thursday, February 22, 1:30 to 3:30 PM in room 104 of Sage Campus Center, Albany.
This month we will aim to finish Income Inequality by Greenhaven Press. We are up to Chapter 3, page 124. Andy Semeiks is leading the discussion.
Reminder, our next book is Antonio Damasio's The Strange Order of Things: Life, Feeling, and the Making of Cultures. It is now available, and copies are readily available online for well under $20
We had a very good, stimulating discussion yesterday; everyone present participated more or less equally, so our group, at least, does not suffer from inequality. Come to the next one even if you haven’t read the book. While reading the book is of course helpful, with this one, given the nature of the subject matter, it is not a necessity.
